Success: You have added Fossilized Coral Turtle Head - Iowa Find (Possible Artifact, AS-IS) to your shopping cart!
Fossilized Coral turtle head found in Lee County, Iowa, known for coral. Sold AS-IS.The cavity side is interesting. There are 2 cavities, one tunnels down pretty deep, appearing geode-like.The overall turtle head shape with cavities as eyes is similar to Native American turtle Effigy images. Many artifacts have been discovered in the very location, however, I cannot say this is an artifact with certainty. Just thought I'd mention it is very possible.Either way, this is a remarkable piece and a privilege to handle it.Prized possession worth.
